Nearly 500 lucky cats were stolen from a new Gordon Ramsay restaurant in just one week, revealed the TV chef.

The owner of the restaurant recently opened Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay in Bishopsgate, central London, which featured hundreds of Japanese lucky cat statues known as maneki-neko.

“The cats are being stolen. 477 were stolen last week – they cost £4.50 each,” the chef vented during his appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, revealing a total loss of over 2,000 pounds.

However, according to a report by the BBC, the City of London police said they had not received any theft reports from the restaurant.

Ramsay, known for his reality shows Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, also mentioned that he had been having problems with couples entering the restrooms together at his restaurant.
